Christ Anglican Church of Carefree Arizona is a founding member of the Diocese of the Southwestern States in the Anglican Province of Christ the King, which began as an outreach from the clergy of Saint Nicholas Anglican Church, Scottsdale, Arizona in July of 1997.
For the love of God and to glorify His Son Jesus Christ the charter members of Christ Church Parish gave sacrificially to buy property, erect an altar and build a Church that was consecrated on the Feast of Christ the King in 1999. This is the sacred ground where the faithful regularly proclaim God’s truth through Catholic order as it is embodied in the historic Book of Common Prayer, where they hear the Gospel and receive the Holy Sacraments.
To help expand God’s kingdom on earth ChristChurch partnered with Saint Nicholas Parish to establish Atonement Church in Fountain Hills, Arizona and sponsored it as a parochial mission for seven years. To show the love of Jesus through charitable works this Parish led the formation of the Foothills Caring Corps, an organization with five staff members (who have their office at ChristChurch) and over 425 volunteers. Last year the Foothills Caring Corps donated over thirty-six thousand hours to assist the homebound elderly with rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, friendly visits, mobile meals, van trips to cultural events, and other helps.
To fulfill its mission to uphold families and impart the Faith to the next generation ChristChurch has a dynamic Sunday School and is presently striving to help establish Saint Augustine’s Academy, a K-12 classical Christian school to serve the Christian Community in the north Phoenix Valley.
